Son of a Madman, Chris Parker (aka. Brother of Invention) was immersed in creative thinking from an early age. Raised and educated in the UK, he began his career designing album covers for labels such as 4AD, Rough Trade and Virgin Records. Then he moved to the US and through design found a home in advertising. For two decades he progressed from Designer to Art Director, sometime Writer, sometime one man AD/Writer team, occasional Manifesto Composer, oftentimes Creative Director/Strategist, all the time Conceptualist, working on both the agency (BBDO, DDB, JWT, FCB, Ammirati, Ogilvy, TWBA/Chiat Day, Wieden+Kennedy, Rubin Postaer, Yellowhammer and more shops on more clients than you can shake a stick at), and client side (Occupant Films, Richard Avedon, Rogue Ales, Rumba Time, ThinkIndie, Tower Records, The Body Shop, Coalition of Independent Music Stores and more). In 2012 he cofounded Interplanetary, a New York based communications agency, though he continued to operate mostly virtually - as he has for the last 20 years - from a base in Idaho. These diverse experiences, combined with his deep roots in art, film, fashion and music, lay the foundation for his holistic yet unique perspective.
